Stevan Sajn , the 50-year-old of Serbian origin, confessed to the femicide that took place yesterday in Capoterra , accused of illness during the interrogation in the barracks.

The man, who has been suffering from heart disease for years, was arrested immediately after killing his 48-year-old wife Slobodanka Metusev with a knife. In front of the prosecutor Diana Lecca and the defense attorney, while explaining what had happened, he collapsed. The interrogation was interrupted and the man was transferred to the "Casula" Polyclinic in Monserrato for investigations. So, from 3.30 this morning, he is locked up in the Uta prison .

Today the appointment of a trusted defender and the interrogation of guarantee in prison are planned. For tomorrow afternoon, however, an autopsy will be held on the victim's body , which will be performed by the coroner Roberto Demontis at the Policlinico di Monserrato. The tests will have to ascertain what the fatal stab was, although it is likely that the woman died instantly.

The 50-year-old Serb shared with Metusev a room in the special shelter (Cas) for migrants. The two had arrived in Capoterra at the end of the summer, the neighbors say they were rather reserved but they often quarreled.

They would have quarreled yesterday just before noon, for futile reasons. The murderer, after the crime, was found by local police officers at Casa Melis, open for the commemoration of the dead. He was sitting on a step, still holding the bloody weapon in his hand. "I killed her, I killed her", he repeated in front of the investigators.

On site the carabinieri of the Cagliari company and of the Capoterra station, in addition to the 118 staff.
