Severino Zuncheddu, originally from Burcei, died during the night between Friday and today, Saturday, October 18, in a road accident on the coast of Kenya.

According to local authorities, Zuncheddu, 41, who used to spend several months in Kenya, was alone at the wheel of a car between the tourist resorts of Watamu and Kilifi when he was involved in a head-on collision with a truck. The exact circumstances, however, are still being confirmed.

The Italian Embassy in Kenya, including through the honorary consul in Malindi, promptly responded to the situation and took care of the deceased Italian.

On his identity card, Zuncheddu was born in Lodi, but spent his childhood in Burcei. After a brief stint in Maracalagonis, he began traveling, making numerous trips to Africa, where he opened a business.
