Explosion in the center of Olbia, investigations into a gas stove

First summary reconstruction of the accident ( HERE IS THE NEWS ) which could have caused a disaster this afternoon in via Antonelli, in Olbia.

According to checks by the Fire Brigade and Carabinieri personnel of the Olbia Centro station, the explosion which caused burns and trauma to three people was caused by a gas leak in the bedroom of an apartment where two men from Romanian citizenship (hospitalized with burns).

The investigations are focusing on a gas stove from which a leak may have occurred which saturated a room. It was sufficient to activate an electrical device to trigger the explosion (which fortunately left the cylinder intact). The explosion was so violent that it broke through a partition wall and moved a wardrobe which overwhelmed a 66 year old pensioner, the man suffered a head injury.
