House arrest for Maria Camelia Caldarar, the 32-year-old woman arrested by the Carabinieri in recent days on charges of drugging and robbing an 86-year-old pensioner in Azzanì (a hamlet of Loiri) . The decision was made by the investigating judge of Tempio, Marcella Pinna.

Caldarar, a German national, allegedly had lunch at the victim's house on March 18 and, after pouring sleeping pills into the elderly man's glass, stole money and valuables from the man's home . According to investigations by the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, the woman knew the pensioner and, for work reasons, had been to Gallura several times.

She was arrested in recent days, once she returned to Bastia Umbra, where she lives. The investigating judge of Tempio, Marcella Pinna, ordered her to be placed under house arrest after the validation hearing. The investigations, however, are not concluded, the investigators are in fact evaluating the positions of a man with whom Maria Camelia Calderar allegedly escaped from Azzanì after having robbed the victim . The couple allegedly immediately boarded a ferry to Livorno. The Carabinieri are verifying all the movements of the woman of German nationality even before the episode that occurred in Azzanì.
