New earthquake in Sardinia. The shock of magnitude 2.0 was detected at 12:54 and 35 seconds in the territory of Berchidda. The epicenter was at a depth of 10 kilometers, more precisely between the town of Gallura and Monti, a short distance from Punta Balestrieri.

The activity was recorded by the seismic room of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) in Rome, which carried out the measurements.

Certainly not a violent event, difficult even for the population to perceive, which comes a few days after the one that the seismographs had detected off the coast of Gallura, on the evening of February 2nd around 10.30 pm: in that case the magnitude had been 2.5.

For Sardinia these are rare episodes, given that the Island is off the maps of telluric activity even if, always off the coast of Olbia, also in July 2023 an earthquake of magnitude 2.6 was recorded. Last year, two other shocks at sea: on August 9th an earthquake of magnitude 2.4 was recorded, but more towards Corsica. On September 30th, off the coast of Siniscola one of magnitude 3.3.
