The investigating judge Ermengarda Ferrarese has validated the arrest of Claudio Gulisano, 44 years old, accused of the murder of his parents Luigi Gulisano and Marisa Dessì, aged 79 and 82 .
By tomorrow the preliminary investigations judge is also called to decide on the possible order of precautionary custody. Gulisano, defended by the lawyer Luigi Sanna, was questioned this morning by videoconference from the prison of Uta and availed himself of the right not to answer the questions of the investigating judge .
The lawyer, who requested house arrest for his client, said Gulisano is "shocked" to have gone from being an injured party to being sent to prison in the space of a few hours.
An investigation carried out in the strictest secrecy and which reached the turning point on Monday evening around 7:30 p.m., when the long interrogation of the couple's youngest son was interrupted after serious evidence of his guilt emerged. He, who found the bodies on the evening of December 5, had said he hadn't seen his parents for days. And instead, he was incriminated by the images from the cameras, which had filmed him in the area, and the statements of a neighbor of the dead couple, who saw him leave the house on the morning of December 5. Thus Claudio Gulisano was arrested and, after the usual formalities, taken to the prison in Uta.
According to investigators, Luigi Gulisano and Marisa Dessì were poisoned on the morning of December 4, a day and a half before the discovery of the bodies, by mixing sodium nitrite with sugar or milk , something they regularly used for breakfast.
The motive for the crime would be financial . In fact, on December 4 and 5 there were withdrawals or transfers from the accounts of the two spouses in favor of Claudio Gulisano for over 20 thousand euros . The 44-year-old, who last December 23 on Facebook asked for "a prayer" for his parents , apparently had gotten into debt due to the failure of a market that his father had given him. And therefore, this is the hypothesis, he would have bet on the inheritance.
