An appeal that weighs like a millstone: "Let's stop those who killed Tigro". Ugo Cappellacci, deputy and president of the Social Affairs and Health Commission of the Chamber, does not mince his words and offers a reward of 1,000 euros for anyone who helps find those responsible for the brutal killing of the cat doused in gasoline and burned alive in Dolianova last February 3 and died yesterday, after being cared for by the Fierogatto association.

Cappellacci announced it this afternoon via his Instagram profile during the special episode of “Politicaffé”, his weekly column, dedicated today to poor Tigger.

"Whoever knows, speak up. Whoever saw it, report it. It's a question of civility," urges Cappellacci, who exposes himself not as a politician, but as a citizen and animal lover. A strong gesture, which shakes a community already tried by the horror and that now wants and asks for justice.

"The municipal police also receive information anonymously. Anyone who knows something can also send a private message to my profile and I, after filtering it, will forward the information to the local police. Now is the time to join forces."

The president of the Fierogatto association, Simona Contu, also participated in the live social broadcast, and she does not hide her bitterness : «If they had listened to us before, today we would be further ahead». In fact, for weeks the association has been reporting episodes of violence against animals, asking for concrete action.

"The police are working, but the key to catching the culprits could come from the population itself," reiterates the mayor of Dolianova, Ivan Piras.

"By making this reward available - Cappellacci concluded - I want to encourage people to collaborate and we will also activate a fundraiser to increase it. Where we do not collect certain information to identify those responsible, we will allocate the sum to a voluntary association, which will be identified with a vote always on my Instagram profile".

In the town of Parteolla, the fear is that these acts will not stop here. The hope, however, is that the reward will serve to break the silence .
