Child pornography in Gallura: the father of the child who was raped and filmed was sentenced to 14 years and 8 months.

A very harsh sentence for the alleged child pornography ring discovered in Gallura.

Cagliari Court's preliminary hearing judge, Michele Contini, sentenced the man accused of repeatedly abusing his eight-year-old son and filming the abuse to 14 years and 8 months in prison. The incidents occurred in a small town in Alta Gallura, Italy, until spring 2024.

The preliminary hearing judge also sentenced another man, a resident of Milan, who received photos and videos of the violence, to eight years and eight months in prison. A woman accused of having sexual intercourse in front of her three-year-old daughter received a one-year prison sentence. Another case was uncovered in Modena during the investigation: the victim, also a minor, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

The investigation documents of prosecutor Gilberto Ganassi mention "child pornography shows" and the involvement of other minors who were allegedly approached and hosted in a home. These incidents were described by the Carabinieri and reported to the Cagliari District Attorney's Office. Even more alarming, according to the investigation, is the distribution of the photos and videos to several people across Italy, all of whom have been reported.

Monica Liguori, the abused child's attorney, stated: "There is nothing positive to say; the facts are too serious to express satisfaction. Instead, I would like to highlight the commitment and work of the Carabinieri of the Tempio Compagnia and the magistrates who handled the case."
