Canteen service in Quartu, the Nas in the kitchens: «Fresh and quality food»

The checks have arrived to dissolve the doubts. The foods distributed in the canteens of the city schools of Quartu Sant'Elena are "fresh and of high quality".
This was established by the Nas carabinieri who today, surprisingly, carried out an inspection in Sestu in the kitchens of Catering Più srl which together with Compass manages the canteen service in the city .
The checks came following the protests of several parents who complained about the quality of the meals distributed to their children, but above all the quantities , considered insufficient. Four sheets of police report for the protection of health have averted any problem, as regards the preparation and quality of food , from pasta to fruit.
The protests concern, as mentioned, above all, the scarcity of portions. «We have a big hole in terms of arrears . In January there were 456 defaulters, now they are 175. We are improving but the hole is still there» explains the manager of the Catering Più service, Tanya Molia , «yesterday out of 1367 reservations, 62 were seated in the canteen without having paid. The issue is that if I have twenty meals booked, I send twenty but then if there are thirty children at the table it happens that the teachers divide the food among everyone and this is why the portions are reduced, as has been complained about».
