Flight canceled, passengers grounded. It happened last night at Cagliari-Elmas Airport, where numerous passengers were waiting at the gate to board a flight to Milan Malpensa . However, that plane will only depart this afternoon after causing unavoidable disruption.

The story is recounted by Simone Depau, one of those directly involved who was supposed to board the 10:25 PM flight: "As soon as I arrived at the gate, the departure was rescheduled for 11:55 PM. No other instructions were given, subsequently on the app the departure was updated to 1:40 AM with an expected arrival in Milan at 3:10 AM."

Around 1:00 AM, the flight cancellation message arrived via the airline's app : "The notification arrived at 1:00 AM. At the gate, we were told that the cancellation was due to general technical problems. Along with other passengers, we went to the check-in desk: there was a hotel available for forty people, the others had to find accommodations. As for me, the inconvenience was significant; this morning I had several work commitments scheduled that I had to cancel."

In recent days, there have been numerous problems for passengers departing from Sardinia. Just today, according to the website of Sogaer, the company that manages Cagliari airport, the Aeroitalia flight (XZ02384) departing at 9:10 a.m. for Florence was cancelled .
