The Cagliari market on Sunday remains at the Cuore car park of the old Sant'Elia stadium and the provincial Confesercenti will manage the spaces, at least until 13 November.

The decision is contained in a determination by the manager of the Department of Production Activities of the Municipality of Cagliari , Alessandro Cossa: the document grants an extension, pending the definitive assignment of the areas and their control.

A necessary trust, we read, because the market “currently provides concrete answers to about 400 subjects including trade operators in the public area, operators of their own ingenuity and hobbyists”.

If it were not organized in that space, then “in the absence of a contextual concrete and viable alternative” there would be a “resurgence of the phenomenon of illegal commercialism and the establishment of spontaneous and non-legitimate Sunday markets”.
