The fundraising campaign for the project “A camper for prevention”, promoted by the Comitato Sardegna in rosa, with the support of Forte Village, Palazzo Doglio, Summer Mode, ended with the collection of 353 thousand euros . The funds raised were donated entirely to the Group “Abbracciamo un Sogno”, which took care of the purchase of the mobile clinic and will take care of its operational management.

The camper, which is set to become operational in the coming months, was conceived as a concrete tool to bring health prevention throughout Sardinia, even in the areas that are most difficult to reach by hospital services.

The fundraising assessment was made yesterday morning at a press conference at Palazzo Doglio. Dolores Palmas, president of the Abbracciamo un Sogno group – illustrated the equipment of the vehicle, equipped with a 3D digital mammograph with Planmed Clarity tomosynthesis, Samsung HM70 ultrasound, reporting workstation, defibrillator, sanitization system and telescopic ramps for easy access. The camper will be managed by doctors, technicians, Oss and will offer free screenings throughout the region to men and women with part of the services provided free of charge, while another will be aimed at companies and public administrations as part of prevention and social responsibility initiatives. The start of the service is expected at the end of the accreditation process by the regional health department.
