A collapse in the asphalt caused the closure of a portion of Via Eleonora d'Arborea, in the Villanova neighborhood of Cagliari. The collapse occurred around 9:00 a.m., but fortunately, no vehicles were passing at the time.

Abbanoa workers arrived on site to begin the restoration work, along with local police officers to manage the traffic. The roadway was reopened within a few hours, reopening around 2:00 PM.

Via Eleonora d'Arborea remained closed from the intersection with Via Lanusei to the intersection with Via Iglesias. Consequently, the entire upper section of Via San Lucifero, starting from Piazza Gramsci, was also blocked , with barriers in place and local police advising motorists of alternative routes.
