Cagliari, man steals tablet from car: tracked down thanks to device tracking

A 35-year-old man was stopped by Cagliari local police this afternoon after he smashed the side window of a parked car to steal a tablet that was stored inside .
The man then fled, but was tracked down in Piazza del Carmine by the officers also by tracking the location of the device .
The 35-year-old, a foreign citizen, was stopped as he attempted to run away towards Via Sassari with a gym bag in his hand. Inside was the recently stolen tablet, as well as other items whose origin he was unable to identify.
Without any documents, the 35-year-old was taken first to the Forensic Police Station for identification, then taken to the police station on Via Crespellani. He was charged with receiving stolen goods.
The tablet has already been returned to its rightful owner.
