A 44-year-old died in the night in Cagliari after falling from a hotel window.

Radoslaw Grzegorz, born in 1979, mayor of the Polish city of Jaworze, was in Sardinia together with other compatriots for some institutional visits - not to the capital, probably meetings with Unions of Municipalities - and was staying at the Due Colonne hotel, in the historic center of the city, where he arrived just yesterday.

Based on what was reconstructed by the Flying Squad, he was in his room - on the fourth floor - together with a colleague, it seems he was sitting on the window sill when he lost his balance falling into the void.

The alarm was given by a passerby and the agents of the Volante, the Flying Squad and the 118 ambulance immediately arrived, but unfortunately for the 44-year-old there was nothing they could do.

The investigators, coordinated by the manager Fabrizio Mustaro, started the investigations which lasted all night. Scientific specialists are also on site.

The hypothesis of an aggression is excluded, the tragedy would be attributable to an accident.

The delegation of Polish mayors - about twenty - who were in the same hotel are being heard in these hours, together with some entrepreneurs.

An autopsy was ordered on the body.
