Matteo Andrea Ibba, 40 years old from Vallermosa, but in the city for some time in makeshift accommodation, according to the accusations he was driving the stolen Panda: on Tuesday, at the end of a long and reckless chase, he managed to escape on foot, losing his own tracks.

The man was at the center of various events and investigations: at the end of the investigations carried out by the Flying Squad in close collaboration with the Flying Squad agents, he was found in the club (on which checks are underway because he would not have any authorization) and was an arrest warrant was notified for receiving stolen goods, money laundering and theft, as well as the charge of resisting a public official. Ibba (assisted by the lawyer Dario Sarigu) was questioned this morning in the hearing to validate the arrest.

Little information has filtered out about the investigation, coordinated by prosecutor Andrea Vacca. A week ago Ibba was at the center of a search on land attributable to him where car parts and vehicles of suspicious origin were found. But the 40-year-old was not present. From that moment it was no longer possible to contact him to serve him with the documents relating to that proceeding. Perhaps he suspected he was the recipient of some precautionary measure.

On Tuesday he was intercepted by the police, in Mulinu Becciu, in a Panda that was found stolen. He escaped, starting a dangerous escape with maneuvers that fortunately did not cause any injuries, even ramming a police car.

In via Machiavelli he abandoned the car and fled on foot. The investigations and searches of the Mobile and the Flying Squad never stopped: on Wednesday night he was tracked down and taken to prison.
