The vehicle was blocked by the bollards, it would have fallen down the steps towards Piazza Ingrao: husband, wife and two children tracked down by the local police after the escapePer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
According to the local police, the driver didn't even start the maneuver to negotiate the tight curve at the end of the descent on Viale Regina Margherita. So at two in the morning yesterday the Fiat Punto ended up against the concrete bollards that protect the steps, overturning. It's a good thing the bollards were there, otherwise the occupants of the car - a Ukrainian family consisting of a father, mother and two children - could have suffered serious injuries.
None of them were there when the local police arrived: they immediately drove away. But one of the sons, perhaps the person who was driving, had left his CV, complete with telephone number, in the car (borrowed from an elderly man). Only in the late afternoon, however, did he respond to the calls of the police, who summoned the young man to the Command in via Crespellani for Monday. He will have to clarify why he did not try to swerve when the small car reached the curve at the lower end of viale Regina Margherita.
The officers do not exclude that the driver had drunk too much alcohol and wanted to avoid the breathalyzer test, worsening his conduct. For those on board, only a few bruises.
