Cagliari, blocked via Rome and traffic haywire: the "tractors" want a meeting with Meloni
From the port garrison, breeders and farmers moved their vehicles and paralyzed trafficThis morning the meeting in the prefecture to ask to be received by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Cagliari tomorrow to close the electoral campaign of the centre-right candidate for Sardinian governor, Paolo Truzzu.
This afternoon, however, farmers and shepherds - who have been stationed in front of the Customs pier in the port of Cagliari since January 30th - moved their tractors again to block Via Roma . The procession reached Piazza Yenne, attracting the attention of the citizens. The mobilization that never ended, however, seems to be rekindling: the protesters have no intention of being involved in the ongoing electoral campaign, but are asking for an institutional meeting with the Prime Minister.
The protest therefore continues until written answers and guarantees arrive. Farmers and breeders also confirm their departure to Brussels on February 26th together with colleagues from other regions to give voice to their requests.
