A young man ended up in hospital following a beating that took place last night at Poetto, in the parking lot in front of the "Il Lido" bathing establishment in Cagliari . His conditions immediately appeared serious to the rescuers, so much so that he was hospitalized in intensive care. The 118 ambulances intervened on the spot and provided first aid to the boy, a 22-year-old from Quartu . A female doctor was also present in the area - who had just left a club - who coordinated the rescue while waiting for the mobile medical unit to arrive.
Two young men aged 23 and 32 were arrested by the Carabinieri for attempted murder, they are in the prison of Uta : according to an initial reconstruction they would have had an argument with the victim, the dispute degenerated and therefore they would have beaten the boy bloody, hitting him in the head with kicks and punches and leaving him dying . The attack on the young man took place shortly after 4.30 in the morning, when a large number of boys were still present on the Poetto promenade who had decided to spend Saturday evening in the local clubs. Someone saw the attack and immediately raised the alarm: when the rescuers arrived, the 22-year-old was on the ground unconscious, so much so that he was immediately stabilized and taken to the Brotzu emergency room. Upon arrival at the hospital, his conditions were considered serious, so much so that he was immediately transferred to intensive care.
The carabinieri of the mobile radio unit of the Cagliari Company intervened at the Poetto and began to hear the witnesses and in a short time identified and traced the perpetrators of the beating.
