Developed by the Municipality of Cagliari and the Mobility Research Center - University of Cagliari, in partnership with the Region, Ctm, Arst and Playcar, the "Svoltiamo" project will be presented tomorrow at 10 in the lecture hall of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in the presence of Gianni Fenu (Deputy Vice Rector of the University of the capital), Paolo Truzzu (Mayor of Cagliari), Alessio Mereu (Municipal Councilor for Mobility), Italo Meloni (scientific director of the project), Eleonora Sottile and Francesco Piras (Crimm researchers).

At the heart of the initiative is a free smartphone application that for the first time will be used in the Sardinian capital with the aim of creating intelligent and sustainable mobility for home-work or home-study travel to Cagliari.

About 11,500 people have shown interest in the project and 5,001 of these have completed the first questionnaire on their travel habits between November 2019 and January 2020.

The second phase will start in June with the monitoring of citizens' travel behavior thanks to the “Svoltiamo” app which will allow you to earn points for every km traveled with a sustainable mode of transport and take advantage of the “Mobility vouchers”. The total value of the vouchers is 122 thousand euros.
