On Saturday afternoon the arrival of the officers saved him from a beating: the hill of San Michele had just caught fire again, after the devastating fire at the end of July, and he was reached and beaten because he was considered responsible for the flames.

After receiving the necessary treatment, a fifty-year-old from Villacidro left the hospital and returned to the green area car parks. Armed with a chain and a stick, according to the charges, he damaged a car.

A raid occurred around 9pm just as the staff of the fire investigation unit of the Forestry Corps were carrying out investigations into the fire: so the person responsible was blocked and arrested for aggravated damage.
