The redevelopment works of the water network in via Oristano in Cagliari have been completed, allowing the reopening of the road. After a few weeks of intervention, the activity was completed and with it the closure to transit and parking: the prohibitions, signs and fences have been removed, with the return of the area. This is the major construction site of Abbanoa, which will continue until June in the Villanova neighborhood .

At the same time, the intervention starts in the upper part of via Iglesias, already closed since yesterday with a (continuous) no-parking sign and the impossibility of driving on the road, blocked at the height of a private garage. In via Oristano the works have seen a small delay linked to the supply of concrete for the restoration . The company in charge, in a work by Abbanoa, will then place the metal plates to allow the transit of vehicles while the concrete finishes drying.

With the reopening of Via Oristano, consequently, the one-way system has also been restored in the final stretch of Via Abba, which had been temporarily switched to two-way traffic to enter Via Einaudi from Via Sonnino . The redevelopment began in February from Via Einaudi, then continued between Via Orlando and Via Abba before moving to Via Oristano. There will be three blocks in Via Iglesias (the stretch from Via Eleonora d'Arborea to Via Garibaldi, from Vico San Lucifero to Via Eleonora d'Arborea and from Via Oristano to Vico San Lucifero), which will conclude the first part of the intervention. Then, at the end of lessons in schools, the second part in Via Ozieri, Via Macomer and Via Tempio.

The inconveniences, however, are not yet completely over for motorists who pass through the area . A few meters away from via Oristano, in piazza Gramsci, another construction site has been active for a few days – this time by E-Distribuzione – for the strengthening of the electricity network. The work has moved after having touched via Grazia Deledda and via Sonnino, and should be completed in a few days.
