No man's land, with cars and motorcycles racing where you can't pass. And then lots of wild parking. The village of San Giovanni di Sinis on April 25 welcomed both the first tourists of the season but also many rude people who, perhaps taking advantage of the lack of controls, did not respect the rules. With all the inconveniences that entails.

Many, despite the sign installed by the Municipality of Cabras that read "Access only authorized", walked along the road that from the end of the seafront reaches the ancient ruins of Tharros. A new stretch, inaugurated last summer, and where two days ago there were many pedestrians visibly frightened by the presence of cars and motorcycles in motion.

The uncivilized people did not even stop in front of the sign indicating the presence of the camera, perhaps knowing that it is not yet active. Just as they noticed that there was no traffic policeman present. There were also many cars parked in no-parking areas .

The mayor Andrea Abis is harsh: «On April 25, the local police were not on duty, as it is also true that we will soon be able to hire seasonal traffic police, thus strengthening all the controls, especially in the village of San Giovanni which, surprisingly, is already frequented by many tourists. But it is absurd, however, that because the control service is missing, many do not respect the road rules or even the environment. This is serious, very serious. It makes me think that a fine is needed and that's it».

Paid parking was supposed to start on May 1st, but the tender for the assignment of parking to Sis, the only company that participated in the tender, has not yet ended. So the date will slip again. The presence of parking attendants would perhaps have slowed down the violators.
