Bitti, the summer storm colors the archaeological site of Romanzesu

Strong thunderstorms localized in some areas of the Nuoro area were announced and arrived in the afternoon. Among the affected areas was Bitti, where heavy rain fell, interrupting a long dry period.

The scenery of the archaeological site of “Romanzesu” is impressive after an hour of downpour.

«It hasn't rained in these parts for months», they say from Coop Istelai, «several local companies are on their knees. Today's rain did not cause any inconvenience, on the contrary: it enriched our site."

And again: «Within the area there is a well temple, with a large ceremonial basin which was used to venerate the cult of water. Seeing it again in all its beauty was exciting, but above all it allowed us to make the tours more evocative."

A perfect combination for Romanzesu, where there has been a boom in visitors since the beginning of the summer: «From June to now we have around 2000 visits. An average that fills us with pride and confirms the trend of 10,000 accesses per year", conclude the coop with satisfaction.
