Tragedy in a country house in Bitti . A 72-year-old pensioner, Salvatore Cumpostu, was found dead among the embers of the fireplace. Every attempt to save him was futile.

The man, transported to Nuoro hospital, was then transferred to Sassari where an autopsy will be performed. According to an initial reconstruction, the origin of the tragedy could have been an illness that struck the man instantly , causing him to fall into the flames that devastated his body.
