Plane hits a bird over Cagliari: the vehicle lands, but skips the next connection to Malpensa
Checks on the Easyjet vehicle after the "bird strike"
An Easyjet plane was hit by a bird just as it had begun the landing maneuver at Cagliari airport.
The "bird strike", as this accident is called in jargon, did not however prevent flight EC 02875 from Malpensa from completing the maneuver without particular consequences.
The problem arose for those who had to leave for Milan half an hour later, at 12.35, with the same aircraft. The Easyjet technicians in fact started the checks to find any damage to the plane and the connection at 12.35 was canceled.
Passengers departing from the Sardinian capital, the company said, were able to choose whether to leave with the 21.50 flight, obtain free cancellation with a refund voucher or simply a flight change.
