Autopsy on the body of Mattia Mura, who died in the waters of Porto Pino

An autopsy has been ordered for Mattia Mura, the twenty-three year old from Terralba who lost his life on Saturday in the waters of the first beach of Porto Pino in Sant'Anna Arresi .

The test will be carried out in the next few days and will serve to establish the cause of death which, based on initial hypotheses, could have been caused by an illness. In the meantime, the body was transferred late yesterday evening to the mortuary of the CTO hospital in Iglesias.

For the boy, who was in the water, there was nothing that could be done. The attempts to save his life first by the lifeguard and then by the 118 personnel on duty from the Avos of Sant'Anna Arresi and, finally, by the medical team arrived from Sirai di Carbonia were useless.

Agents from the Carbonia police station were also on site to support the carabinieri from the Giba station.
