The figures of grandfather and grandson have weighed on the destinies of Sassari and have often crossed over the decades. Politicians of race, Enrico Berlinguer grandfather and Enrico Berlinguer nephew are among the most illustrious characters of the city , as will be remembered tomorrow at 6 pm in the Historical Archive of Sassari thanks to the event promoted in collaboration with the Aristeo cultural circle.

The second appointment of " Memorie sassaresi " will see the journalist and essayist Pier Giorgio Pinna outline the story of Enrico Berlinguer grandfather (born in 1850) who was an intellectual, politician and one of the founders of the "New Sardinia" and his homonymous nephew, unforgettable (and regret) secretary of the Italian Communist Party.

The meeting on the two Berlinguers will be followed by the third and final one focused on the figure of Zaira Coen , a teacher at the Azuni high school, a victim of the racial laws and who died in the Auschwitz concentration camp .
