Home theft and improper use of a payment instrument other than cash. With these accusations, the carabinieri of Cagliari Villanova denounced a 47-year-old, resident in the capital, a volunteer and rescuer on the loose.

From what was reconstructed, on May 22 last he had intervened, aboard an ambulance, in the home of a 55-year-old and, taking advantage of a moment of distraction by the woman, he would have taken possession of a mobile phone and a wallet containing various securities and documents , kept inside a bag. Then he had withdrawn shortly after, during an ambulance stop that had the rescued person on board, 1,000 euros from the ATM counter of the Banco di Sardegna, which is located at the Monserrato university hospital.

The investigations started after the complaint presented by the 55-year-old, the military acquired, among other things, the images of the video surveillance system installed in the hospital and the statements of the people informed about the facts.

During a house search, the stolen mobile phone was found and returned to the owner.
