Much tension and stitched mouths in the obstetrics and gynecology ward of the San Pietro di Sassari hospital, in the media storm after the 25-year-old Alessia Nappi from Sassari, 5 weeks pregnant, was rejected on Saturday 8 January by the emergency room which refers to the structure and she lost the baby .

After the denunciation of Alessia and her husband Enzo, who had accompanied her, the indignation of public opinion was raised very high and strong controversies flared up. Even parliamentary questions.

The case of Alessia and the lost child has taken on national dimensions and is not destined to settle down quickly. The Ministry also announced an immediate internal inspection, with the aim of establishing responsibilities for the incident.

Giampiero Capobianco is the director of the obstetrics and gynecology department of the San Pietro di Sassari hospital. Called on the phone he answered politely: "I can't speak at the moment, Franco Bandiera will speak for everyone". The latter is the medical director of the Aou di Sassari. The same management on Saturday 14 January issued a press release expressing "regret for what happened to the lady and the start of an internal audit with all the interested parties to make it clear".

The fact is that someone on the fourth floor of the Obstetrics and Gynecology ward gave the order to reject the lady. "The practice is that only a doctor can give this order", they say at the acceptance of the obstetric emergency room. Going back to the doctors on duty on the morning of Saturday 8 January for the inspectors of the Ministry will certainly not be a difficult task. But then it will be necessary to reconstruct the reality of the facts.
