Alarm raised overnight in Sorso: two cars caught fire

Yet another car fire during the night in Sorso.

Two cars caught fire in the red village, where they had been parked for some time. The flames reportedly originated from a Mazda 2 that had been abandoned for years. The flames spread, eventually engulfing another car, a Fiat 500 parked nearby, which was destroyed.

Firefighters rushed to the scene to put out the flames and secure the area.

The Carabinieri of the Porto Torres company also intervened in the emergency and are investigating the causes.

Firefighters suspect the fire started from the Mazda's battery.
