Fatal accident this afternoon right under the overpass a few steps from the Basilica of the Madonna del Rimedio , on the outskirts of Oristano.

At the beginning it seemed like a minor accident but within two hours the situation worsened : the elderly man who was traveling with his wife in one of the cars involved died in the emergency room of San Martino in Oristano due to a sudden cardiac arrest . Investigations by the local police are underway.

The firefighters and 118 also intervened on site.
