Abuse and sexual violence: Siliqua, a 54-year-old woman, ends up in prison.

The Carabinieri of the Siliqua Station executed a precautionary detention order issued by the Office of the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Cagliari against a 54-year-old man already known to law enforcement.

The man was already under house arrest, carried out by the Siliqua Carabinieri on September 19, 2025, in relation to criminal proceedings initiated following a complaint filed at the Iglesias Carabinieri Station by his then-husband.

On that occasion, the woman had reported that she had been the victim, for approximately three years, of harassing and stalking behavior, culminating in a serious episode of sexual violence that occurred in June 2024.

After the investigations, the man was placed under house arrest, but he did not comply with the measure, so the Judicial Authority ordered his transfer to the Uta prison.
