A series of accidents occurred on the roads of Northern Sardinia during the night between Saturday and Sunday.

Fear in Sassari, where around 1am two cars collided at the crossroads between Viale Dante and Via Torres : two women were injured and transferred to hospital ( READ ).

Around 2am in Alghero a van overturned at the Rudas roundabout, along the Statale 127 bis: rescue services were called in, but the driver only suffered a few grazes ( READ ).

Also in Olbia, on the 125, near the Mater Olbia hospital, a vehicle left the road and overturned . The driver—rescued by firefighters and 118—was injured and taken to the hospital.

Again, the 115 emergency services from Tempio intervened on State Road 127, at the Bortigiadas junction, to rescue a 23-year-old man who had fallen off a cliff . The young man, walking back from a local restaurant, leaned on the guardrail and fell into a ravine about 4 meters deep, in the dark, among brambles. He was rescued, harnessed, and handed over to the 118 emergency services, who took him to the hospital by air ambulance.
