This morning Silanus woke up besieged by the police , who conducted a large-scale police operation.

Roadblocks are set up in various parts of the town, a helicopter is flying over the town, while Carabinieri and State Police officers are carrying out dozens of searches, even in the countryside .

There is also talk of arrests, but everything is being done in the utmost secrecy.

"A police operation is underway," says the mayor, Gian Pietro Arca, "but we don't know why."

The operation is still ongoing, with uniformed personnel controlling all exit roads and operating in and around the town. Meanwhile, the helicopter continues to fly over the houses and surrounding countryside.

It could all be connected to what happened a few days ago, when after a party in the village, all hell broke loose, with rudimentary explosive devices detonated in front of several homes. The possibility of drug trafficking hasn't been ruled out.
