Decisive meeting today at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy on Portovesme srl and the future of the two Sardinian metallurgical plants. The executives of the Swiss group Glencore also arrive in Rome.

At the center of the summit was the issue relating to energy costs and the company's request to have "structural measures" that allow for a clear price for at least two years .

The time necessary to start the new phase which involves the conversion of the plants for the production of batteries.

For the moment , the transfer of raw materials from the Portovesme industrial site has been suspended.

Yesterday the president of the Region Christian Solinas, invited by the mayor Carlo Tomasi, first met the local administrators, then the workers of the San Gavino foundry in a permanent assembly.

They were moments of great emotion for the Sardinian governor , who assured: "I'm with you, I won't leave you alone in this fight to defend work and the future of a strategic sector for Sardinia and the whole of Italy".
