Portovesme workers ready to march on Cagliari to make their voices heard .

The mobilization, triggered by the black smoke that arrived from the Mise table yesterday in Rome , with the company confirming the stop of the lead line production line in the San Gavino foundry and in the Sulcis KSS plant, is scheduled for the start next week.

On Monday 10, at 9, there will be a meeting with the mayors of the territory and on Tuesday 11 a meeting is scheduled in Cagliari with a garrison in front of Villa Devoto , the representative office of the Presidency of the Regional Council.

The decision to raise the level of protest - for the moment, however, no strikes have been announced - emerged from the workers' assembly and from the meeting between the provincial and category secretaries.

The workers ask the Region and the Government to find a solution to avoid the stop of lead production (which the company justifies with the increase in the cost of energy) and to avoid layoffs for about 200 workers between the two Sardinian plants.
