The Festa dell'Unità returns to Cagliari. The Democratic Party organizes it and for the occasion the national secretary Elly Schlein arrives in Sardinia. The event will be held on 24 and 25 November, in pavilion G of the Fair, with the organization of the city secretariat, together with the provincial and regional one.
A programme, starting tomorrow at 3pm, which is divided between moments of discussion and entertainment events, all contained in the slogan "Let's build the future together".
The expected guest will be secretary Schlein, who will be on stage at 6.30 pm together with secretary Piero Comandini and the candidate of the broad camp led by Pd-M5s for the 2024 regional elections, Alessandra Todde.
The appointment comes precisely at the early start of the electoral campaign for the elections on the island which sees a center-left so far divided between the broad camp, made up of 12 parties that support Alessandra Todde of M5s, and the gentle revolution of the former governor Renato Soru, supported by five theme tunes plus some movements.
«After the congresses celebrated between February and April, and the subsequent momentum , we thought we needed to rediscover the moments of aggregation that have always characterized our party», explained Guido Portoghese and Jacopo Fiori, city and provincial secretaries.
The in-depth moments include a focus on city government, with the experiences of local administrators of the Democratic Party from all over Italy. The mayor of Bologna Matteo Lepore will not be able to participate, as expected, as he is detained due to the emergency in his city. «The Democratic Party returns to being what it should be and has always been», explained secretary Comandini, «that is, a popular party. The Unity celebration is not the celebration of members, but is open to anyone who wishes to participate."
