Movements are underway in the center-left of Oristano. Maria Obinu, Giuseppe Obinu, and Umberto Marcoli, elected to the City Council under the banner of Alternativa sarda Progetto Sardegna, have joined the party led by Massimo Zedda , marking a new transition in the coalition that until now had been dominated by Renato Soru.

The announcement came during the party's regional management meeting in Oristano , attended by administrators and leaders from across the island. In the statement released after the meeting, the arrival of the three councilors was described as "extremely important" because it strengthens the party's presence in the Oristano area and represents "a sign of confidence in the Sardinian political project."

Obinu, Marcoli, and Obinu currently sit in the chamber holding the symbol of the party associated with former regional president Renato Soru. This move confirms the ongoing reorganization of the center-left on the island following the last regional elections.

"We are convinced that we can build a positive path for Oristano, with a view to growth and development for the region," the three councilors stated. "We chose to join because we believe in the need to strengthen a serious, credible, and people-friendly political space ."

During the assembly, the Progressive Party also reaffirmed its support for Regional President Alessandra Todde and its desire to build a "federal pact" with the Democratic Party, aiming to consolidate a democratic and progressive alternative to the center-right.
