"We reiterate once again," said the Prime Minister, "our strong and clear opposition to any plan involving Sardinia. We will never allow another easement to disfigure our territory." Present at the meeting were the mayors of Mandas, Turri, Albagiara, Assolo, Guasila, Siurgus Donigala, Nurri, Ortacesus, Las Plassas, Usellus, Villamar, Ussaramanna, Tuili, Setzu and Segariu . The no to waste was unanimous from all the majority and opposition group leaders. A position, moreover, already expressed in numerous orders of the day approved by the chamber from 2022 to today and in the 2011 referendum where the Sardinians decided to oppose nuclear power plants and storage facilities.

"Our idea of development," said Comandini, "is to focus on green, on energy transition, on the creation of a green island where tourism, environment and agri-food combine with the protection of the territory." The mayors asked the group leaders to strengthen the joint action towards the national government. "I will write to the minister," concluded President Comandini, "to remind that Sardinia has already expressed itself several times on the issue. The Regional Council will never allow the will of the Sardinians to be ignored, who on May 15 and 16, 2011 decided with the referendum to say No to nuclear power and waste ."
