These are the two objectives underlying the new support decree that the government is working on at the moment.
The measure will concern only the economic sectors most affected by the latest wave of infections linked to the Omicron variant and the consequent restrictive measures. About two billion euros will be allocated for the measure.
The Covid layoffs will be used as a tool to avoid new layoffs: at the moment a package of 13 weeks is assumed.
However, requests to return to equating quarantine and illness for workers who have close contacts with a positive will hardly find space. With the decision to avoid quarantine for subjects vaccinated with three doses or two for less than 120 days, in fact, those who have had a contact are allowed to go out and also to work, thus completely eliminating the need for the indemnity. illness.
The situation is different for the parental leave of those who have a positive child under 14 or in Dad. In this case, the extension was included in the decree on the state of emergency until 31 March and the INPS has already activated the possibility to apply on its website.
