Italy beat Israel 2-1, repeating the great victory in Paris against France, on the second day of the Nations League group stage.
On the neutral pitch of the 'Bozsik Stadion' in Budapest, in front of no more than 2,000 spectators, Spalletti's Azzurri, with five new additions compared to the match at the Parc des Princes, started slowly but then went wild at the end of the first half when they found the advantage on the Inter axis Di Marco-Frattesi, with the former Sassuolo player once again scoring as in the triumph in France.
In the second half, the National team closed the match by doubling with Kean and coming close to 3-0. Just before the final whistle, Abu Fani scored, closing the gap but not affecting the convincing performance of the Italian team.
Another victory for Italy, therefore, which feels like confirmation and allows them to take an important step forward towards the Nations League Finals with the aim of mortgaging a place among the top seeds in the draw for qualification for the next World Cup.
"A job done splendidly this evening, all the pitfalls I was talking about were seen. The fact that they never let themselves go shows that they are a very mature team". This is what the Italian coach Luciano Spalletti said: "They were very good - Spalletti told Rai - they found themselves with their eyes closed and it was especially evident in the second half".
