Cagliari appealed to the TAS (sports arbitration tribunal), against the decision of the Fifa court which gave reason for the payment of two million euros plus interest to Boca Juniors. In reality, the measure was challenged by the rossoblù club immediately after the arrival, in December, of the reasons for the sentence, concerning a tranche of the price for the purchase of the Uruguayan midfielder Naithan Nandez.

An appeal which therefore immediately froze both the obligation to pay the amount indicated in the device within 45 days and the blocking of the market for the three consecutive sessions of the purchasing campaign indicated by the sentence, thus without affecting the purchase-sale campaign in January. .

A further ruling by the judges on the matter is now awaited.
