Bewilderment and emotion in Nuoro for the disappearance of Alessandra Onida, who died today due to injuries sustained in yesterday's serious car accident in via Armando Diaz, in Sassari .

The 48-year-old from Nuoro was an esteemed neuropsychologist who worked for the local health authority of the capital of Barbagia , dealing with neurocognitive rehabilitation.

Smile and very sweet character, she possessed great professional skills that had made her become, as she loved to repeat, "the only neuropsychologist hired by a public hospital in Sardinia".

A great loss therefore for Sardinian and Nuorese healthcare , caused by a collision that took place yesterday afternoon at the intersection of via Diaz and via Torres when, for reasons yet to be ascertained, a BMW and a Fiat Punto, on which the woman was traveling, collide.

Alessandra Onida was thrown out of the car and ended up on the asphalt. Immediately hospitalized in a reserved prognosis and in very serious conditions, she lost her life today. The family has authorized the removal of organs.
