Rossoblu midfielder Luca Mazzitelli will miss at least the Parma-Cagliari match, expected to be out for a few weeks. Having gone off in the 42nd minute of last Saturday's match against Lazio , the midfielder underwent tests today, which revealed a low-grade strain of the soleus muscle in his left leg.
Mazzitelli's realistic recovery goal should be the mid-March away match against Pisa, the date of which is still to be determined . He underwent therapy today during the afternoon training session at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini. The rest of his teammates, however, completed the first part of the session, dedicated to activation and technical work, followed by a session of ball possession drills.
Cagliari will return to the pitch tomorrow morning . Against Parma, the Rossoblu will open the twenty-seventh matchday of Serie A on Friday at 8:45 PM at the Tardini.
