A head-on collision between motorcycles in a parking lot leaves two young friends dead. The theory behind the challenge is: "They were performing stunts."

Two dead boys: Jacopo Gambini, 17, and Leonardo Renzoni, 16. Two friends, who collided head-on with their motorcycles last September 17 in Pisa, in the parking lot near Ikea .

Gambini died immediately after arriving at the hospital. Renzoni, however, died after two days of agony in the intensive care unit where he had been admitted in critical condition. The young man's brain death was declared overnight. The family, with the approval of the juvenile prosecutor's office, which opened an investigation, authorized the organ harvesting.

According to a reconstruction by the municipal police , the two young men on the motorcycles were likely performing some acrobatic maneuvers in the square on the southern outskirts of the Tuscan city . For reasons currently under investigation, the two vehicles collided head-on during the maneuvers.

Investigators suspect a dangerous game and are checking local security cameras and the YouTube channel created by one of the two young victims to reconstruct the events of the tragedy.
