A 48-year-old man, resident of Sant'Anastasia, in the province of Naples, has been arrested for double homicide after the bodies of two women were found at a construction site in Pollena Trocchia.

The alarm was apparently raised by a couple who had been secluded in the area and who saw him enter the construction site with someone and then emerge alone, shortly after, with a handbag in his hand.

The investigations by the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco operational section and the Cercola military are being coordinated by the deputy prosecutor of Nola, Martina Salvati.

The two women were allegedly prostitutes and were murdered on separate days. According to the Carabinieri and the Nola Prosecutor's Office, the man killed them after having sexual intercourse with both of them, each of which was followed by a violent argument over payment.
