After some arguments I had at the beginning of June with my partner "every time I have complied with Padovani's requests it was for fear of unleashing his anger ".
Alessandra Matteuzzi said this on 29 July, in the complaint-lawsuit presented to the carabinieri to report the stalking of Giovanni Padovani , who then hammered her to death on the evening of 23 August after waiting for her outside the house, in Bologna.
“In light of all the occasions in which he has managed to access the condominium where I live, I am always afraid of finding him in front of me every time I come home , or when I open the windows”, added the woman.
Alessandra Matteuzzi also said she was constantly checked on social media . In addition to constant requests to send him photos and videos to prove where he was, the woman, in the lawsuit filed on July 29, had discovered months earlier, in February, that her profile passwords had all been changed.
“I was able to see that both the emails and passwords associated with my profiles had been changed , replaced with email addresses and passwords attributable to Padovani”. In addition, "I also found that my Whatsapp profile was connected to a service that allows you to view all the messages I have sent from another device".
The relationship “was always based on my sending the videos he had asked me for and video calls, but this was not enough to curb his jealousy , because the doubts about my fidelity never passed. Even a simple photo I posted on social media and framed my shoes resting on the dashboard of the car after returning from a business trip was the reason for a scene from him ".
In the complaint Matteuzzi reported on the checks he was subjected to, on the times he showed up outside the house. Apart from once in Sicily, when he had pushed her into a bed, there had never been physical attacks .
In mid-July the two had had a rapprochement after a period of crisis: between 14 and 22, he put the victim on the record " he was aggressive several times towards me , he never used physical violence, venting his anger, always due to jealousy, with punches on the door ”.
And the investigating judge Andrea Salvatore Romito, in the nine pages with which yesterday he validated the player's arrest , reconstructs Padovani's obsession, defining it as a real " delirium of possession ". "Since the beginning of the relationship - reads the provision - he has adopted behaviors that are the result of an irrepressible desire for manipulation and control, resulting in the progressive deprivation of margins of freedom".
