The Farnesina has recalled the Italian ambassador to Switzerland to Rome for consultations on the Crans Montana case and the release from prison of Jacques Moretti , the owner of the Le Constellation club.

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani have instructed Ambassador Gian Lorenzo Cornado to immediately contact Béatrice Pilloud, the Attorney General of the Canton of Valais, to convey to her the deep indignation of the Government and Italy at the decision of the Coercive Measures Tribunal in Sion to release Jacques Moretti from prison , despite the extreme gravity of the crime of which he is suspected, the heavy responsibilities that weigh on him, the persistent danger of his escape, and the evident risk of further tampering with the evidence against him.

The Court's decision, according to a statement from Palazzo Chigi, "represents a grave offense and a further wound inflicted on the families of the victims of the Crans-Montana tragedy and those still hospitalized. All of Italy is crying out for truth and justice, and demands that, in the wake of this tragedy, respectful measures be adopted that fully take into account the suffering and expectations of the families. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani have therefore ordered Ambassador Cornado to be recalled to Rome to determine the next steps to be taken."

Tajani speaks of an investigation "that is riddling all over the place" and emphasizes that Moretti "could attempt to escape ." "The Prime Minister and I," the Foreign Ministry head reported, "were truly outraged this morning. Not only as representatives of the Italian government, but as parents, and I also as a grandfather."

"I don't want to provoke a diplomatic incident between Italy and Switzerland, but I will not give in to any pressure from the Italian authorities ," said prosecutor Béatrice Pilloud , in charge of the investigation into the New Year's Eve massacre in Crans Montana, stressing that she was not the one who released Jacques Moretti from prison and explaining that it was "a decision by the Coercive Measures Tribunal."

Swiss Confederation Vice President Ignazio Cassis also sent a message to our country: "Like Italy, Switzerland mourns the 40 victims and many injured in the Crans Montana tragedy. We understand the pain, because it is our pain too. We want clarity . We are closely following the work of the Valais justice system. I discussed this today with my colleague Antonio Tajani, and we reaffirmed Switzerland and Italy's willingness to support each other in this shared tragedy."

THE VIDEO

Meanwhile, an unreleased video has emerged, acquired as part of the investigation and broadcast exclusively by the French broadcaster BFM. It shows the sound-absorbing foam burning as the party continues and the waiters at the Constellation, carrying bottles of champagne and fireworks, continue in single file, as if nothing was happening .

The images, taken by a sixteen-year-old survivor of the fire and handed over to the police, show the employees lined up behind young Cyanne Panine, on the shoulders of a colleague, dancing around the perimeter of the bar counter, as flames were already raging in the other part of the place, which Cyanne herself, who died in the blaze, had unknowingly started.

A situation already described during interrogations by Louise, another waitress who survived and attended the service and who admitted to not noticing the fire: "It took between 30 and 35 seconds" before raising the alarm , she told investigators. Louise herself later explained that Jessica Moretti, owner of the Constellation, was with them and was filming the scene.
