The stretch of via Genova in Turin, where yesterday three workers died and three other people were injured due to the collapse of a crane, was impounded. The area is now cordoned off and manned by firefighters and municipal agents, while residents can access through alternative gates.

On the asphalt there are still the gilded sheets that yesterday were used to cover the bodies of two lifeless workers (the third died after being transported to hospital for his injuries).

The dynamics of the accident must be ascertained: it appears that the structure at the base of the crane collapsed while the construction of the site was in progress and the crane itself then collapsed against a six-story building.
